I was so excited to get this chair because it really does have great bones and I could immediately see all of its potential. It may be slightly outdated and not at all my style right now, but I cannot wait to see the end result! My mom and I were shopping in Birmingham last Friday, and ended up at a fabric store. I set out on a mission to find the perfect fabric to turn this chair into something beautiful. A couple things to know about me- I LOVE patterns and colors, and anything that can incorporate both of those design elements is right up my alley. So after looking around for a while, I found a couple of fabrics that I was in love with. By using the two fabrics on the chair, it will give it a really fresh and fun look. The large scaled fabric will go on the seat cushion and the seat back. The smaller scaled fabric will go on the outside and back of the chair, and will be used to make a small pillow. The chair is headed to the upholsterer soon and I know it will turn out to be one of my favorite pieces in our new apartment! I will post pictures as soon as the project is complete!

Projects, projects everywhere!
I have so many projects going on right now that I am excited about, but today I am extra excited about this one! A few months ago, Rusty and I were given some furniture for FREE! And it was some great stuff! We got an awesome couch, a really comfortable recliner, and this amazing chair:
Welcome to my new blog!
Over the last year I have become many things: An interior designer, a sales associate, a marketing assistant, a fiance, wedding planner, bride-to-be, and a Realtor. It has been one crazy year since I graduated from college, but looking back I realize that I have come a long way and had some great opportunities. Through all the experiences that this year has given me, one thing that has tied them all together is my love of design. From designing rooms for families at Pottery Barn, to designing marketing materials and even my own wedding, I have learned to concentrate on all of the little details because that is what makes something truly special. This blog will be a random assortment of all of the designing and planning taking place in my life right now, paying special attention to the little details that make a big difference.
